Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series

Massive field locked in for WA Sprintcar title

So, who is going to win the Jolly Good In Car Audio WA Sprintcar Championship at the Perth Motorplex this Saturday night?

No doubt regular racefans will have their favourites – and their theories, but is selecting the winner going to be as easy as you think?

James McFadden, who won this event 12 months earlier, will not defend his crown, but that by no means diminishes the quality of this field.

Dayne Kingshott and Callum Williamson will be the pick for many.

They are level on points in the 2025-26 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series championship points – 590 each.

Kingshott has two wins, while Williamson is the only other feature race winner so far this year.
Taylor Milling is yet to win a sprintcar feature race – and should he deliver the goods on Saturday night, his first win will be a memorable one.

Milling has been knocking on the door for a win for a while and with one podium result already this season, and the other two results being in the top 10, he’s in a good spot.
So too is Daniel Harding.

It’s been a while since he has won a sprintcar feature race, something he is more than capable of doing this weekend in the Trevor Jolly Racing W18.

Harding was third in the opening round and backed this up with an 8th and a 7th, to be fourth in the championship points.

Brad Maiolo is fifth overall and the momentum is building in the LJM W77.

He opened his account with a fourth, then backed this up with a 6th and a 10th.

Michael Keen, who is in his second year in the plumb Cowara Motorsport W41 seat, is sixth in the series, building on his 10th in his rookie season.

His early season spreadsheet shows an 8th, a 5th and a 15th.

Jason Kendrick has had a couple of lean seasons, but the former WA champion looks more settled in the Kendrick Racing W11 this year.

He is seventh overall in the series championship, with a 6th, a 10th and a 13th and has shown a lot more pace this season, particularly in qualifying.
Kris Coyle is another driver with plenty of pace in the Merger Motorsport W79He posted a DNF in round 1, before bouncing back for a solid fourth in round two and then a 14th in the King of Wings in round three, to be eighth overall in the series points.

James Inglis is another driver to watch.

The former series champion is currently ninth after opening his account with a seventh, then a costly DNF and an 11th.

Motorsport journeyman Jason Pryde, fresh from racing in both the Trans Am and sprintcar events in South Australia last week, rounds out the series top 10.

JPM started the season with a DNF, then took an 11th and a 16th.

While the results don’t show it, Ryan Lancaster has a lot more pace this year and if he is able to stay out of trouble, a result at the pointy end of the field is possible.

His best result so far is a ninth.

Kaiden Manders, pictured, is one driver who you can never rule out in the big races - and he is chasing wins in both the Dan Golding Racing W71 sprintcar and speedcar at this big show.

His best result so far in the sprintcar, was a third in round two.

Queenslander Jy Corbet, back for another round in the Monte Motorsport W17, can’t be ruled out from at least a podium result.

A DNF, a 6th and a 13th do not reflect the pace this young throttle stomper has – like many of the drivers already listed, don’t be surprised if he breaks through.

And when you add in a whole heap of other drivers who also have the pace and the equipment to get the job done, including Americans Brock Zearfoss and Justin Whittall, it’s going to be game on come feature race time on Saturday night.
